Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin are adrift
Shailene Woodley had a great success with HBO’s Big Little Lies. Sam Claflin was part of equally successful My Cousin Rachel movie, and now they’re working together on Adrift- a romance movie inspired by true events.
Co-produced and directed by Baltasar Kormákur, Adrift is as romance about Tami Oldham and Richard Sharp. Two sailors who attempted to sail actors the ocean in the early 80’s. However what started as an adventure will soon become an act of survival in the most harsh conditions imaginable.
Official synopsis for the film:
“Adrift” is based on the true story of two avid sailors who set out on a journey across the ocean. Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) couldn’t anticipate they would be sailing directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins. With no hope for rescue, Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved.
Adrift is scheduled to be released on June 1, 2018 by STX Entertainment.
