Netflix anorexia drama „To the bone“ has a first emotional trailer
Lily Collins stars as a young woman battling anorexia in the Netflix drama, „To the Bone“. The actress received a lot of praise for her performance at this year’s Sundance film festival, and the movie also stars Keanu Reeves as her unconventional therapist.
The Golden Globe nominated actress in „To the bone“ is Ellen. A young woman living with anorexia, who finally manages to cure her despise thanks to the unconventional treatment methods of Dr. William Beckham (played by Reeves).
„To the bone“ official synopsis:
Ellen is an unruly, 20-year-old anorexic girl who spent the better part of her teenage years being shepherded through various recovery programs, only to find herself several pounds lighter every time. Determined to find a solution, her dysfunctional family agrees to send her to a group home for youths, which is led by a non-traditional doctor. Surprised by the unusual rules—and charmed by her fellow patients—Ellen has to discover for herself how to confront her addiction and attempt self-acceptance, in order to stand a chance against her demons.
Directed and written by Marti Noxon, „To The Bone“ also has Lili Taylor, Alex Sharp, Carrie Preston, Brooke Smith, in the rest of the stellar cast.
