Natalie Is Having A Bold And Eclectic 2018… And I Love That

You’ve probably seen the trailer. The trailer for Vox Lux of course. The Academy Award winner Natalie Portman plays a „Bowie-like“ in the Brady Corbet musical drama that will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 4, 2018.

Natalie is Celeste in Vox Lux, and besides the 47 minutes of the trailer (in which Celeste is preparing to go on a stage and perfume) not much is known about that character.

What I do know that it’s Brady Corbet’s second movie (after 2015’s Childhood of A Leader), but let’s take a closer look of all the movies that Natalie has on the line up for 2018. She started the year of with the amazing Annihilation.

The movie was scary mind fuck of a film project and I have a feeling that Vox Lux will be the same but with a different genre.
Xavier Dolan’s The Death & Life of John F. Donovan will bring her back to the dramas, and with that one will probably end the year, but I have a feeling that it’s a bold and eclectic mix of roles.

A pop star, a scientist on a suicide mission and a mother of a 11 year old boy. Oh and not to mention that in early 2019 we’ll see Natalie in a role of an astronaut. How cool is that?

So, I’m looking forward in seeing these upcoming movies. I love the choices that she made and i think they’ll be fun for the audience as well. So… Watch out for Natalie. Watch out for these movies too. She’s having a bold and eclectic 2018 and I love it.
