The official trailer for Annihilation is here and it’s terrifying
Annihilation is up for release early in 2018, but the first official trailer has been released after much anticipation. And it’s both awesome and terrifying. Written and directed by Alex Garland, Annihilation is actually based on the Annihilation book by Jeff VanderMeer and it’s about Lena (Natalie Portman) and her husband’s disappearance.
She puts her name forward for an expedition into an environmental disaster zone, but does not quite find what she’s expecting. The expedition team is made up of the biologist, an anthropologist, a psychologist, a surveyor, and a linguist.
Besides Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tessa Thompson, Gina Rodriguez, Tuva Novotny, and Oscar Isaac are also in the cast. This is the second collaboration between Garland and Oscar Iscaac, the first being in the highly acclaimed SF thriller Ex Machina, and i can’t hardly wait to see this movie.
Annihilation opens on February 23rd 2018, but until then check out the official trailer.
