Just some movies you should definitely check out in September

With all the film festivals that are already underway or beginning in the month of September, i’d say it’s gonna be a good month.

The summer blockbuster season is officially over, and for those who are very careful, can spot a potential Oscar contender even this early in the award circuit. So about the movies that are premiering in September….

There are plenty of those and they are diverse, fun and potentially good. So, yeah… September is going to be a good month, and you should definitely check out these movies.

Fun fact about it: The Duffer Brothers originally wanted to direct the movie, but were overlooked as they were not “established” enough. They went on to create Stranger Things (2016), which co-stars Finn Wolfhard (Richie) and pays homage to Stephen King.

Fun fact about it: Both Reese Witherspoon and Candice Bergen were previously in “Sweet Home Alabama” together.

Battle of the Sexes

Directors: Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris

Stars: Emma Stone, Steve Carell, Andrea Riseborough, Elisabeth Shue, Austin Stowell, Sarah Silverman, Alan Cumming…

Fun fact about it: Both leading actors are almost an exact match for the actual ages of the characters they are playing. Billie Jean King was 29 years old and Bobby Riggs was 55 in 1973. At the time of filming Emma Stone was 28 and Steve Carell 54.
