Brie Looks Great In Captain Marvel But I’m Here For Lee Pace!

You’ve probably seen the photos. Yes, the Academy Award winner, Brie Larson announced on Twitter yesterday that the fist look photos about Captain Marvel will be published with the help of EW. And boy, she delivered!

Set in the 90’s, Captain Marvel is not an origin story movie, despite what some sources suggested, and from the published photo we could see quite a few things.

Nick Fury without an eye patch (and much younger looking I might add), Carol Danvers rocking a NIN T-shirt and a leather jacket in one photo and the captain Marvel suit in another.

There’s also Jude Law in the role of Mar-Vell / Walter Lawson: Danvers’ mentor and commander in Starforce, who trains her to use her new powers, and let’s not forget the ever wonderful but now barely recognizable Ben Mendelsohn in the role of Talos: The shape-shifting leader of the Skrull invasion of Earth, who is working undercover within S.H.I.E.L.D.

That’s all and great, but I’m here for the one and only Lee Pace. Yes, that’s right. I’ve been in love with Lee Pace since I saw him in Pushing Daises, and I couldn’t be happier about his return in the MCU.

Ronan the Accuser is back and I can’t hardly wait for it. And yes, I’m not ashamed to say it. (OK to write it). I’m all for Miss Danvers, cause she’s the first female Marvel super-hero that’s getting a solo movie, and a lot of expectations are at stake, but come on. If you’re a fan of Lee and you know what he can do in this role, than trust me… You’re going to be watching captain Marvel just for him.

Oh, and while I’m on the subject of Ronan the Accuser, I also hope that his character is little more developed now in Captain Marvel, than it was in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.1. Due no fault of his, Ronan was one of the most generic and bland in Guardians Of The Galaxy, I I hope that not only he’ll be given a much interesting development of his character, he’ll also get more screen-time.

Captain Marvel is Pace’s first confirmed project of 2019 and I hope it will be a good one. Lee Pace+Jude Law+Ben Mendelsohn in a 90’s Captain Marvel movie?

Yeah, I’m now awaiting the first trailer, but Captain Marvel opens March 8, 2019.
