Watch out! I, Tonya has a red-band trailer now and it’s awesome
All right everyone! Listen up! The brand new red-band trailer for the upcoming sports biopic I, Tonya is out and it is freaking awesome.
As previously reported Margot Robbie is in the role of the notorious ex figure skater Tonya Harding, while the always fantastic Alison Janney plays Harding’s pushy chain smoking mother LaVona Golden.
We’ll also be able to see Sebastian Stan in the role of Jeff Gilooly, Tonya’s ex-husband and partner in crime but Julianne Nicholson, Caitlin Carver, Bojana Novakovic and Bobby Cannavale are also in the cast.
Margot Robbie serves as one of the producers of the movie, Craig Gillespie is the director and the biopic is written by Steven Rogers. The film tells about ex-spouses Tonya Harding and Jeff Gilooly, who hired a man to break the leg of Harding’s competitor Nancy Kerrigan at the National Figure Skating Championship in 1994, which led to the end of Harding’s career in figure skating.
Apparently Robbie and Janney are early contenders for an Academy Award nominations (in the best leading and supporting role category) and the movie opens on December 8th.
