In the Fade trailer: Diane Kruger seeks justice for the death of her family
Germany has selected and submitted a movie reprezentation for the 2018’s Academy Awards and its In The Fade.
Fatih Akin latest movie is a revenge thriller in which Germany’s own leading actress Diane Kruger has the lead. She’s Katja. Young mother and wife living in Germany with her family. After one faithful night, her life crumbles into little pieces. She will lose her son and husband snifter a car bomb by a young Neo-Nazi couple explodes and kills them instantly. What will follow is the justice she seeks to have in court and the threats that will follow from the growing Neo-Nazi affiliates.
Official synopsis:
Out of nowhere, Katja’s life falls apart when her husband Nuri and little son Rocco are killed in a bomb attack. Her friends and family try to give her the support she needs, and Katja somehow manages to make it through the funeral. But the mind numbing search for the perpetrators and reasons behind the senseless killing complicate Katja’s painful mourning, opening wounds and doubts. Danilo, a lawyer and Nuri’s best friend, represents Katja in the eventual trial against the two suspects: a young couple from the neo-Nazi scene. The trial pushes Katja to the edge, but there’s simply no alternative for her: she wants justice.
Denis Moschitto, Numan Acar and Johannes Krisch co-star in the movie, besides Kruger and the film opens on December 27th. Check out the first trailer.
