Great Films You Shouldn’t Miss In September


Another month and another list of great movies. September is the month when the official Award race begins and on September 8th, the Venice Film Festival will end. But, during the entire span of the month there are some wonderful and amazing movies. Who are thy? By all means, scroll down and find out.

The Nun

Fun fact about the movie: Taissa Farmiga, who played Sister Irene in this film, is the younger sister of Vera Farmiga in real life, who played Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring (2013) and The Conjuring 2 (2016). The Demon Nun, played by Bonnie Aarons, also appeared in The Conjuring 2 (2016). Though the sister’s characters are not at all related to each other, they are both devout Catholics with clairvoyant abilities.

Fun fact about the movie: The film was directed and co-written by Shane Black, as a sequel to Predator (1987), Predator 2 (1990) and Predators (2010). Shane Black had played Hawkins in the original film.

White Boy Rick

Fun fact about the movie: As of July 14th 2017 “White Boy Rick” had been paroled from the MICHIGAN prison system after 29 years. Upon release Mr. Wershe was immediately turned over to U.S. marshals for transfer to FLORIDA and begin serving time there on a separate charge.

Fun fact about the movie: Samuel L. Jackson and Annette Bening would later work on Captain Marvel (2019).

Fun fact about the movie: Sissy Spacek and Robert Redford won an Oscar in the same year. Spacek won as Best Actress in a Leading Role for Coal Miner’s Daughter (1980) and Redford won as Best Director for Ordinary People (1980).
