Well you might have heard the news. Sylvester Stallone is going to star, produce and direct (yes direct) Creed 2, the sequel of the fantastic 2015 movie- Creed. The sports drama was directed by Ryan Coogler back in 2015.

Creed 2 will be the second planned directorial job for the veteran Sly (along with Tough as they come), and although the appearance of Dolph Lundgren in the role of Ivan Drago is just a rumor in the pre-production phase, we know that Michael B. Jordan will be making his return in the role of Adonis Johnson.

Stallone confirmed the announcement on his Instagram page, but if you recall, back in 2015 Creed was a commercial and financial success for Stallone. He was nominated for an Academy Award (in the best supporting actor category) and the movie cemented his role in the entire Rocky franchise.

But while we wait on any further production news about Creed 2, let’s look back at the all the previous movies that Stallone directed. Starting from 1978 until his latest flick 7 years ago.

Paradise Alley (1978)

Fun fact about the movie: It took Dolph Lundgren about six months to win the part and was first turned down by the casting directors for being too tall.
