Miles Teller’s Finest Movies (Before Top Gun 2)

Share:

You’ve probably heard the news. Miles Teller  has been cast in the upcoming Top Gun sequel.

Teller will star opposite Tom Cruise, but in the role of Nick “Goose” Bradshaw’s son (originally played by Anthony Edwards). Teller beat out Nicholas Hoult and Glen Powell for the role, while young talents like Dylan O’Brien and Austin Butler were in the mix for this role in a previous stages of pre-production.

Cruise and Val Kilmer are the only 2 confirmed actors (besides Teller) in the sequel called Top Gun Maverick, and the production of this movie began late last month. The director Kosinski, already collaborated with Teller on the last year’s drama Only The Brave, and with Cruise on the SF classic Oblivion. Cruise is one of the producers of the movie, and Top Gun Maverick, is set to be released on July 12, 2019. But until then let’s look back at Miles’s finest movies.

There is no doubt that Miles Teller is one hell of an actor. Talented and versatile, he’s a gift to every movie director. And frankly I’ve been a fan of his since I saw him in his debut movie. Not that many actors can say that they acted in an Oscar nominated movie opposite Nicole Kidman, Diane Wiest and Aaron Echart.

But Miles did and was phenomenal in it. The supporting role in Rabbit Hole opened doors for him in Hollywood and hi grabbed every opportunity that came along after that. SF/thriller franchise? Check. Another Oscar nominated movie? Check. Marvel movie? Check. He was brilliant in War Dogs and in Bleed For This.

To be honest, Teller is the perfect choice for this role, and I have no doubt that he will give us another brilliant performance. But, until then…

These are my favorite Miles Teller movies. Or should I say… Miles Teller’s finest.
