Idris and Kate are stranded in The Mountain between us first trailer
Idris Elba and Kate Winslet are two strangers stranded on a cold mountain in their latest film project. The survival drama The Mountain between us is also the latest directorial effort of Hany Abu-Assad, and first for Israeli director since 2015’s The Idol.

Elba in The Mountain between us is Ben Pyne. A surgeon rushing to an emergency surgery in Boston, while Winsent is portraying a photojournalist Alex Martin also in a hurry, but for her wedding scheduled for the next day. In an act of desperation, the board on a charter plane that soon crashes. Stranded, isolated, injured and with barely any tools to survive, they must find a way from the snowy mountain and the dangers that can be found on such high altitude.

Chris Weitz and J. Mills Goodloe wrote the screenplay for which they adapted Charles Martin of the same name. Beside Kate and Idris, The Mountain between us features a stellar cast of actors (Dermot Mulroney, Beau Bridges) in the supporting roles, while the film is set for release in the United States on 20 October 2017.
