Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built has a teaser and Helen Mirren in a haunted house

Helen Mirren played a lot of real life historic characters in the lustrous and enviable career. Queen Charlotte and Queen Elizabeth II, Sofya Tolstoy, Alma Reville, Maria Altman, Hedda Hopper and now Sarah Winchester in Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built.

The Academy Award winner is Sarah Winchester in The Spierig Brothers’s supernatural horror Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built. Sarah Winchester was American heiress who amassed great wealth after the death of her husband, William Wirt Winchester. She also he felt that her family was cursed, and sought out spiritualists to determine what she should do, but when skeptical psychiatrist Eric Price (Jason Clarke) visits the estate to evaluate her state of mind, he soon discovers that her obsession may not be so far-fetched after all.

Since its construction in 1884, the property and mansion were claimed by many, including Winchester herself, to be haunted by the ghosts of those killed with Winchester rifles, but actually no such claims were ever proven by anyone.

Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson, Laura Brent are also in the cast, and The Spierig Brothers also wrote the screenplay for the movie.  Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built opens on February 2, 2018 but until then, check out the first scary teaser.
