Vox mapped the opening scene in Baby Driver and it’s actually glorious
OK. Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver turned out to be one of the best movies of the year. The action comedy arrives in theaters near me at the end the August, and I can’t wait to actually see it. You can expect my film review soon after that, but for now let’s focus on something else.
Let’s focus on the opening car chase from the movie. I don’t think seeing it will spoil something for me (if it does spoil for you… by all means don’t press play on the video bellow) but Vox did something very exciting and very different with that lengthy scene.
They mapped it. Yes geographically mapped the entire route of Baby’s (Ansel Elgort) getaway car trip around Atlanta. You can actually see the mapping side by side with the footage of the scene in Baby Driver, and it’s kind of fantastic to be honest.
