Well, here it is. The second trailer for the Hobbs & Shaw is here and its action packed to the brim.

Seriously. The movie is about to be released this summer (August 2^nd to be more precise) and the second trailer it’s not only more action packed, it’s much more lengthily as well. So much so that in a YouTube trailer that’s almost 4 minutes long we got to see a shortened version of the movie.

For real. I’ve never seen a trailer that revealed so much in just one take. Wow. Save something for the cinema guys. However made this trailer should immediately quit his job. It’s not a bad trailer per se, but everything was revealed in those 3 minutes and 37 seconds. The characters, the plot, the jokes, the development and even the end of the movie. Yup.

Wanna guess how Hobbs & Shaw will end. Go to 3 minutes and 4 seconds of the trailer. It will tell you everything you need to know. Phew. Is it just me or it was exhausting watching the trailer? It’s got explosions (and a lot of them) it has choreographed fighting (ditto), even Hakka dance and what not.

I don’t know if this is a deliberate tactic, a clever marketing campaign or a disaster waiting to happen (read box office bomb) but it’s something. Right now it’s putting me off watching the movie. I know that will happen in every section of the movie.

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will find it in their hart the goodness and the empathy, they’ll learn to cooperate with each other, and mid-way through the movie they’ll become BFF’s/brother figures. In the final 30 minutes or so Idris Elba’s character will be defeated and boom, the movie will set up the sequel, of course. Coming to the movie theaters in 2022.
