Exploring Christopher Nolan’s storytelling in Dunkirk
Dunkirk was a beast of a movie. Stylish, emotional, raw, honest and compelling. It showed the many layers of war, and how I could change the people that are affected by it.
In Dunkirk you can plainly see the multilayered storytelling that has become a trait in the works of Christopher Nolan, and as Jack’s Movie Reviews points out in the video essay dedicated to Dunkirk, he’s improving with each additional movie.
Jack’s Movie Reviews also acknowledges the fact that Nolan is using the storytelling in order to create suspense but in Nolan’s fashion to raise the stakes of what a good and brilliantly done movie should look like.
