Edgar Wright and his camera selfies are the best thing on Instagram

Share:

Edgar Wright is currently in the middle of his US press tour promoting his latest directorial work, Baby Driver. The heist comedy is also enjoying 100% positive feedback on Rotten Tomatoes, and is gaining a big hype among his fans several weeks before it opens in UK and USA (on June 28).

Baby Driver stars Ansel Elgort as the title character Baby, Lilly Collins, Jon Hamm, Jon Bernthal and Academy award winners Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx. And although the probably most talented director of his generation is rumored to be directing one the next Star Wars movie (I wish), he is most likely directing a Hot Fuzz sequel in the future.

But back to the topic at hand. Parts of the Baby driver production, press tour, screenings and meet and greet with some of the most influential people in Hollywood can be seen on Wright’s Instagram profile, but probably most artistically beautiful are his Instagram photos of… himself.

Taken mostly by photo camera (not by phone), the selfies and photo portraits of him are funny, catchy and show the lonely side of the job. Press junkets and premieres are fun for the audience, but tiresome and lonely for the artist them self and Edgar Wright is no exception.

Sure there are some photos made in a helicopter, but most of them are both mundane and beautiful all at the same time, besides the fact that they are probably made in an elevator or his hotel room.

Baby driver opens on June 28 and this is Edgar Wright up close and personal by Edgar Wright.
