Avengers Endgame: Now That’s How You Make A Great Trailer
You’ve probably heard the news. Marvel released the official trailer for the upcoming Avengers Endgame movie, and after a long long time… It didn’t disappoint. Well, at least it didn’t disappoint me.
My disappointment over the teaser and official trailer for Captain Marvel was well documented in 2 separate posts, but this… Well, this was quite the opposite.
Not only the trailer revealed the title of this movie (Endgame), it also reveled something else. Ronin. Clint Barton is the second person to have the Ronin identity, becoming Ronin when he rejoined the New Avengers in the aftermath of Civil War. Which means after Clint’s absence in
Avengers Infinity War, we’ll get to see not only Clint Back, but now in another identity. The sword wielding Avenger, Ronin.
Oh and Ant Man/Scott Lang is knocking on Cap’s door at the end on this amazing trailer. It truly is. We get to see the Avengers when they’re down on their knees, defeated and on the brink of death, and this trailer did something for me that the Captain Marvel never could.
It evoked empathy, fear, sadness and laughter in just 2 and half minutes. That’s the whole point I think. That’s what trailers are supposed to do. To get you all pumped up and excited, that you’ll be counting down the months and days till the premiere.
Remember. This trailer was marked as an official trailer with 2 and a half minutes length, but it didn’t feel like it was an official trailer. It felt more like a teaser disguised as an official trailer, but that’s OK. It left you wanting more, and kept you wondering what the next trailer will show.
The 22nd movie within Marvel’s extended Universe is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 26, 2019.
