Blast from the past

All the times Christian Bale was real AF

Christian Bale is not your typical movie star. Well aside of some very public altercations with his family, he’s been a model citizen in Hollywood. A talented child actor turned extremely talented and versatile auteur of the craft, Bale has been a presence in movies for 30 years now.

Bale may got his breakthrough role in Steven Spielberg movie, but since the late 80’s he’s been most sought after and bankable actors of his generation. Academy Award winner and one of the last method actors currently working, he’s actually notorious about his private life. Think about it. He’s never been to rehab, he’s never had any sex scandals or sordid affairs with the Hollywood starlets. Actually he’s known to have one of the most solid marriages and he and his wife has been going strong together for almost 18 years.

If you take a good look at his professional life, you’ll notice the recurring collaboration with directors like Christopher Nolan, Terrence Malick and Adam McKay. You’ll also notice his ability to transform into every character, gain or lose weight (as a fucking joke), master any accent and to dive into the characters he plays with a chameleon like abilities.

But the most striking and outstanding thing you’ll notice is all the moves in which Christian Bale played a real life character. A person that actually existed and in one such instance he even was awarded with an Academy Award. He’s yet to portray the Ex – vice president of USA, Dick Chaney in the Adam Mckay’s biopic Backseat. Sure he was Batman, Moses and Patrick Bateman but for now I want to focus on the real people he portrayed.
