7 Great Movies To Watch At The Start Of 2019


It’s almost time… Yes, I’m very well aware that there’s a whole month to go until the end of 2018, but what the heck… I can’t wait to tell you about the upcoming movies that I’ll be writing and drooling about.

Now, I’ll cover the December releases in an upcoming different post, but for now I want to focus on a handful of movies that will come out to theaters in 2019. For the sake of space and reasoning I’m going to focus on the first 3 months of 2019, and just what those movie might be?

Fun fact about the movie: This is the third movie where James McAvoy had to shave his head, after X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Split (2016).

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Stars: Margot Robbie, Alison Brie, Chris Pratt…

Fun fact about the movie: This is Margot Robbie’s first time voicing Harley Quinn, while also playing Harley in the DC universe. Robbie is the first actress to voice Harley Quinn in the Lego franchise since Jenny Slate in The Lego Batman Movie (2017).

Alita: Battle Angel

Fun fact about the movie: Christoph Waltz was recommended to Robert Rodriguez by their mutual friend, Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino directed Waltz to 2 Oscar wins in Inglorious Basterds (2009) & Django Unchained (2012), & has been a long time friend & collaborator of Rodriguez since the early 1990s.

Fun fact about the movie: This is Danny DeVito’s fourth collaboration with Tim Burton after Batman Returns (1992), Mars Attacks! (1996), and Big Fish (2003). In three of them, he has played a circus member.
