5 Great Movies To Watch In January


A New Year – and a new list of movies. To Be honest, I intended to write again about Louis C.K’s descend into despair, I wanted to start the new year on a positive note.

So instead of writing about Louis’s latest antics, let’s make a brief introduction to all the great movies we’ll be able to see in cinema theaters this month.

January is a bit dry month for movies, since there’s plenty of award ceremonies and the annual Sundance film festival in this month, but let’s try and pick the most promising 5 of them. Shall we?

Escape Room

Fun fact about the movie:The director of the movie Adam Robitel also has a role in Escape Room. He plays the character named Gabe.

The Upside

Stars: Nicole Kidman, Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston…
Release Date: January 11th
Fun fact about the movie: First film production for Malia Obama, daughter of President Barack Obama. She worked as an intern for The Weinstein Company during filming.

Stars: Alice Eve, Keanu Reeves, Emily Alyn Lind…
Release Date: January 11th
Fun fact about the movie: The story and screenplay for REPLICAS was developed at Keanu Reeves and Stephen Hamel’s production company Company Films. Hamel writes the majority of all the stories produced there.

Fun fact about the movie: Bruce Willis and Sarah Paulson appeared in the Ocean’s film franchise. Bruce had a cameo in Ocean’s Twelve (2004), and Sarah was in Ocean’s Eight (2018).

Fun fact about the movie: This is the second collaboration between Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. They previously both appeared in Interstellar (2014).
